nVidia vs ATI drivers
I booted in safe mode with the ATI card installed and it works in safe mode - even recognizes the card. I used the ati vista drivers - replaced the Windows drivers - same issue - black screen. I have an ATI 1900 card that seems to work fine. Anyone else have an x850 pro agp and try to install with Vista? Any luck?

ATI Radeon 7000 Vista Driver
After loading Vista I have poor resolution as only the standard VGA drivers have been installed. I cannot find anything on NVIDIA's web site that will help. Does anybody have any thoughts that may help me. Thanks The DRM changes to Vista caught nVidia and ATI out in the cold on drivers.

I thought it was a piggy back attempt on an ATI driver. Cryptographic signatures on kernel modules are another way of doing it (but differently). You mean the same thing that Windows does? Updated it from WinXP to Vista. Using a generic VGA Driver it works, but very slow and only in generic screen resolutions. But after installation Windows Update loads an updated driver for ATI Mobility Radeon 9200, Version 6.14.10.6606, dated 31.07.2006 and signed by MS Windows hardware compatibility pack.
